Most of the estate was left to the son of David Cassidy.
If you were disinherited, how would you react?
Would you hold a grudge?
Would you fight the will?
According to a recent People article titled “David Cassidy's Son to Receive Upwards of $1.68 Million—More Than 10 Times Initial Estimate,” the daughter of David Cassidy is doing neither.
Cassidy left the bulk of his estate to his son Beau.
He left his daughter Katie completely out of his will.
Why?
David Cassidy had said that he never had a relationship with her and that their connection was merely biological.
Despite this, Katie still mourned the death of her father and credits him for several life lessons.
Since he will not dividing the inheritance with Katie, how much will Beau inherit?
The original estimated estate value was $150,000 before debts were paid.
The new estimate is $230,000 after settling debts.
In addition to this, Beau has already received $450,000 from the retirement plan of his father and a $1 million life insurance policy.
In total, Beau Cassidy is set to inherit about $1.68 million.
Good for him.
However, the story here (as I see it) is the high road taken by Katie.
